Getting started
Is Healthcove a subscription?
No. Healthcove is a one-time purchase. Browsing your data, charts, insights, manual export, and import are free. A single "Pro" unlock (no subscription, no account) adds automations, device-to-device sync, and automatic background sync — pay once, keep it forever.
What's free, and what's in Pro?
Free: dashboard, browse all your health data, charts, insights, manual export (JSON / CSV / GPX / TCX), and import on Mac.
Pro: automations (REST API, MQTT, Home Assistant, Calendar), encrypted device-to-device LAN sync, and automatic background sync.
How do I export my health data?
Open the Export tab, choose the data types and date range you want, pick a format (JSON, CSV, GPX, or TCX), and tap Export. Then share or save the file anywhere with the system share sheet. GPX and TCX exports keep your heart rate alongside the route — TCX also imports cleanly into Strava, Garmin Connect, and HealthFit.
Sync & transfer
How do I sync to my Mac or a new iPhone?
Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. On one device open Settings → Pair Device and show the QR code (or code); on the other, scan/enter it to pair. Transfers are encrypted end-to-end (TLS) and go directly between your devices — nothing is uploaded to any server. This is a Pro feature.
LAN sync isn't connecting — what should I check?
Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi (not Guest/cellular), both are unlocked, and Local Network permission is allowed for Healthcove (iOS Settings → Healthcove). Client-isolation on some routers/Guest networks blocks device-to-device traffic. If pairing was set up previously and now fails, remove the paired device and pair again.
Does it work on Mac?
Yes — Healthcove is a native macOS app. Because Apple Health data itself lives on iPhone, the Mac shows the data you've synced or imported, and can export and import files.
Automations & Home Assistant
How do I send Apple Health into Home Assistant, MQTT, or a REST API?
Open Settings → Automations (Pro), add an automation, and choose Home Assistant, MQTT, REST API, or Calendar. Set it to run on a schedule or whenever new data arrives. Your metrics (heart rate, sleep, SpO2, steps, and more) can then appear as Home Assistant sensors and triggers.
Which data types can I automate or export?
182 Apple Health types across activity, heart, vitals, body measurements, nutrition, sleep, and workouts — including HRV and fine-grained samples.
Purchases & privacy
How do I restore my purchase?
On a new device or after reinstalling, open any Pro feature to reach the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchase. Pro unlocks on every device signed in to the same Apple ID.
Is my health data private?
Completely. Healthcove has no accounts, no analytics, and no cloud. Your health data never leaves your devices except when you export a file or sync directly to your own device over your local network. See our Privacy Policy.
